We are currently looking for a mechanic who wants to contribute to a stable, safe, and efficient production together with an engaged team.

At Maa Såg, we work closely together and share responsibility for maintenance and development, as well as ensuring high and consistent production with minimal downtime. You will have great opportunities to influence both the planning and execution of the work, and we value initiative and ideas from everyone in the team.

Responsibilities

In the role of mechanic, you will work both preventively and problem-solvingly. Among other things, you will:

• Troubleshoot and resolve production stoppages
• Work with preventive and corrective maintenance
• Register and follow up work orders in Mainter
• Ensure that the right spare parts are available
• Contribute to our continuous improvement and 5S work
• Be an active part of our work environment and safety work

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have relevant education and experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably from a production environment. It is important to us that you are a team player who enjoys collaborating and contributing to achieving our common goals. We believe you are curious, meticulous, and responsible, and confident in taking your own initiatives and planning your work. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required for the position.

About Us

Derome makes more of the forest. We harvest trees in our local area and process them in our own sawmills. Approximately half of the timber is exported, and the remaining part is sold in our own building supply stores, as well as to our industry colleagues. Within our Timber organization, you will be part of a team of timber specialists who are passionate about close and long-term customer relationships.
