We are looking for Field Service Engineers for commissioning – rotational work in Norway

Electrician – Commissioning / Start-up

About the role:

We are currently looking for two Field Service Engineers for a long-term project within the oil and gas industry in Norway. In this role, you will work for a leading player in the energy sector, handling commissioning, pre-commissioning, start-up, testing, and troubleshooting of technical systems and facilities.

You will work in an international project environment where safety, quality, and technical competence are in focus. The work is performed on an attractive 2/3 rotation and gives you the opportunity to be part of some of Norway's most advanced industrial and energy projects.

Job Description:

• Commissioning and pre-commissioning of electrical and automated systems
• Functional testing, loop tests, and system verification
• Troubleshooting and optimization of facilities prior to start-up
• Documentation according to current standards and procedures
• Collaboration with project managers, technicians, engineers, and other disciplines
• Participation in FAT, SAT, and handover to the end customer
• Work with PLC, HMI, and control systems depending on the project

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Service Engineer, or similar
• Experience with commissioning or start-up within industry, energy, offshore, or the oil and gas industry
• Good understanding of electricity, automation, instrumentation, or mechanical systems
• Ability to read technical documentation and drawings
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks

Meritorious:

• Experience with oil and gas projects
• Previous work experience in Norway
• Knowledge of PLC systems such as Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, or B&R
• Experience with FAT, SAT, MC, and commissioning documentation
• EX competence or work in ATEX environments
• FSE, ESA, or equivalent safety training
