Pediatric Nurse/Community Nurse at Spånga Tensta Child Health Center (BVC)
Are you the one we are looking for?
Are you a nurse with specialist education in child and adolescent health or community care who wants to work in child health services at a clinic and make a difference? We offer both standard BVC work and an extended home visit program. If this sounds interesting, you might be the one we are looking for.
About the clinic:
At Spånga Tensta BVC, four specialist-trained nurses with extensive experience in child health care (BVC) work together. We are a family center that has the privilege of sharing premises with midwives, parent counselors, and an open preschool. We collaborate closely with these partners in our daily work, which further enriches the BVC activities and is something we highly value.
At BVC, we are here for all families and meet families with different backgrounds and cultures, which provides a broad variation in our work. Here, we work from a holistic view of the individual and strive for secure, well-being children and secure adults. We want to provide our families with high accessibility, participation, and continuity.
We offer an extended home visit program to everyone included in the area. This means, among other things, that families are offered six home visits during the child's first 17 months. These visits are conducted together with a parent counselor from the City of Stockholm.
Spånga Tensta BVC is also part of BHV Stockholm Norra, which includes 15 BVC clinics. This enables knowledge exchange between the clinics, and together we continuously work on improvement and development projects based on the needs of our clinics. We also have a business developer working closely with us. Read more about us at Spånga Tensta BVC.
You will work daytime hours, with no evenings, nights, red days (holidays), or weekends. We have flexible hours and individual schedules that you can influence to a large extent based on the needs of the operations. We believe that competence development is important – therefore, we work with a competence model for employees, which enables development and career opportunities for you.
We follow cooperation agreements and conduct union cooperation with local representatives within the operations. You can read more about the benefits at Stockholm County Council (SLSO).
About the position:
As a BVC nurse with us, you will be offered an exciting job with great opportunities for development. You will work independently and have your own responsibility for your area of work, but at the same time have colleagues and accessible leadership around you. Training is offered continuously during employment.
We work based on the child health care mandate, which includes, among other things, home visits, health checks for children at key ages, vaccinations, and parent group activities. We always start from the needs of children and families. We work in the medical record system Take Care.
Qualifications:
You must be a registered nurse with specialist education in child and adolescent health or community care.
Previous experience working in child health care (BHV) is meritorious.
Employment type:
Permanent position. Full-time. Part-time can be discussed. Working hours Monday–Friday. Probationary period may apply. Start date by agreement.
Personal qualities:
We are looking for someone interested in preventive and health-promoting work. BVC work is largely individual but is also highly team-oriented. The ability to see the needs of the clinic is a positive trait that is valued.
You enjoy building relationships with children and families and thrive in collaboration with other professions. We would like you to be flexible, have good communication skills, and be able to plan your work so that it suits both you and the clinic. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Other information:
We will continuously review applications and may call for interviews before the final application deadline.
We warmly welcome your application!
The position will be filled subject to it not being needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
