This position is a collaboration between Manpower and our client. You will be employed by Manpower but work on-site at the client's location.

The role is based in Alingsås, with the work primarily taking place on-site. The position also involves travel related to installations, both within Sweden and internationally – an opportunity for you who want to combine technology with new environments and variety in your work.

About the job

As a machine assembler, you work with the assembly and construction of complete industrial machines and production equipment. You work from 3D drawings and technical documentation, handling everything from mechanics and fine mechanics to electrical, pneumatics, and robotics.

The work is varied and developmental, where you are involved throughout the entire process – from assembly to testing and final installation. Since the machines are often customized for the customer, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and adjustment become a natural part of your daily routine. In some projects, you also have the opportunity to work on installations at the customer's site, both in Sweden and internationally.

You work in a project format together with colleagues in assembly and design, which requires collaboration and technical engagement.

Examples of tasks

• Assembly of industrial machines and production equipment (mechanics, electrical, and pneumatics)
• Building machines based on 3D drawings and technical documentation
• Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and optimization of machines
• Testing and quality assurance of finished equipment
• Installation and commissioning at customer sites (Sweden and internationally)
• Collaboration in project teams, with opportunities for leadership responsibilities within assembly

We are looking for you who

Are practical, technically interested, and thrive in a role with varied tasks within industry and assembly. You enjoy working with your hands, solving problems, and have the drive to get things done, both independently and in a team. You have a genuine interest in technology, mechanics, and machine assembly, and you are motivated by building, troubleshooting, and understanding how machines and production equipment work.

Your background could be as a workshop mechanic, maintenance technician, service technician, or machine assembler. You may have several years of experience within industry, production, or technology, but we also welcome those who are at the beginning of their career and have the right attitude, technical interest, and desire to develop.

We would appreciate if you have

• Education in electrical, technology, mechanics, or similar
• Experience in workshop work, machine assembly, or industrial production
• Good computer skills and ability to work with technical systems
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A strong technical interest and enjoy practical work
• Opportunity and willingness to travel for work

We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge in electrical, pneumatics, or industrial automation, experience with robotics, or customized machines.
