RESPONSIBILITIES

Hörby Municipality is strengthening its organization and is looking for a competent and self-reliant building technician to join our team. We are looking for you who appreciate the opportunity to learn new things and develop in your professional role.

As a building technician in Hörby Municipality, you are assigned a property portfolio where you are responsible for maintenance, upkeep, operation, and preventive work.

You are the municipality's link to the tenants regarding issues concerning the properties and their outdoor environments.

Together with your colleagues, you form the basis for maintaining a high standard in and around the municipality's properties, as well as satisfied tenants.

Daily work as a building technician includes among other things:

• Receive and execute fault reports and orders from municipal operations.
• Perform statutory authority inspections, such as monthly and quarterly tests of fire alarm systems and SBA patrols.
• Daily patrols and supervision of the properties and their surrounding environments.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and adjustment of technical systems in the properties.
• Self-control based on property ownership responsibility.
• Schedule and follow up on contractors' work regarding larger assignments that we do not handle ourselves.
• Daily work with technical installations such as heating, ventilation, water, and control & regulation technology.
• Contact with operations, subcontractors, and other partners.
• Preventive work.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant education or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience is required.
• Self-reliant, stable, and secure.

• Comfortable juggling multiple tasks.
• Solution-oriented, technical, practical, and handy.
• You need to be secure, stable, curious, and have good self-awareness.
• Good judgment and integrity are required in your professional execution.
• You need to possess good collaboration skills and be clear in how you communicate.
• A B-driver's license is required.
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Some computer skills are required.
• An extract from the criminal record register must be presented before any employment.
