BDX Rail's railway operations are in an expansion phase, and we are now looking for individuals who want to be part of developing and building tomorrow's infrastructure. Do you want to contribute to a modern and sustainable railway together with us?

We are currently seeking Contract Engineers for BDX Rail at one of our offices in Luleå, Boden, Gällivare, or Kiruna. We are specifically looking for a Contract Engineer for our maintenance contract on the Northern Iron Ore Line (Norra Malmbanan), based in Gällivare or Kiruna.

About BDX Rail

BDX Rail AB is one of northern Sweden's largest railway companies, active in both operations and maintenance as well as new investment projects. BDX Rail is a subsidiary within the BDX Group and maintains the railway between Luleå and Riksgränsen, including the Haparanda Line. BDX Rail also runs several investment projects, such as various yard extensions, track replacements, yard lighting, and ERTMS projects for the implementation of a new common European signaling system in Sweden. In 2026, BDX Rail won several railway projects, and many more projects will be carried out in our local area in the coming years, which is why we need to grow our team.

About the Role

As a Contract Engineer, you work in a team together with the Business Manager, Project Manager, and Site Manager. You are jointly responsible for profitability, productivity, quality, environment, and safety. The role includes, among other things, bid and production calculations, purchasing, scheduling, preparation of documentation, and financial reconciliations. You support and follow projects from the first planning day until the projects are completed, playing a key role in the development of the entire project or specific parts of it.

Quality, environment, and safety are important areas for BDX. As an important tool in daily work, we use the BDX-Q Management System for total quality, which covers quality, environment, working environment, and safety.

Your Profile

You should have a university or college degree with a technical focus, or other education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent.

Key traits include being structured, business-minded, customer- and result-oriented, having the ability to see the big picture, working independently, and possessing strong planning skills. Additionally, you are skilled at building good relationships with people around you.

Previous experience as a Contract Engineer is meritorious.

Employment Type: Permanent position. Probation period applies.

Full-time/Part-time: Full-time, daytime hours.

Location: Luleå, Boden, Gällivare, or Kiruna.
