We are looking to strengthen our Civil North operations in Norrbotten by hiring a Project Engineer for our ongoing and upcoming projects. As a Cost Control Project Engineer at NCC, you will play a key role in driving our projects forward – from concept to reality. You will become part of an engaged team of project engineers, with opportunities to develop within the work environment sector, while contributing to creating sustainable solutions for society's future.
The Role: Cost Control Project Engineer
As a Cost Control Project Engineer, you have a crucial role in the project's economic management and progress. You work closely with project management to ensure the project is executed within set cost limits. You gather data, follow up on completed work, and compare it against recorded costs and man-hours. Together with project management, you analyze and assess the project's financial status.
You are responsible for checking and posting supplier invoices, assisting in forecasting reports, and coordinating purchasing and delivery plans according to production needs. You handle drawings and models, monitor documentation from subcontractors, and ensure contractual requirements are met.
As a project engineer within the department, you will report to our Group Manager within the production group. You will work alongside other project engineers within the department and the project, and also participate in networks within the field at NCC.
Your Profile
To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you have experience in broad work within construction production. You have experience with production calculations, cost tracking, and contract law. A post-secondary education in the field is preferred. It is an advantage if you have experience from a similar role in production-related operations within the infrastructure or construction industry, or similar, and have an understanding of our type of business.
As a person, you are social and a good networker who enjoys having extensive contact networks both internally and externally. We place great emphasis on you being driven, self-motivated, development-oriented, and responsible. To succeed in the role, you also need to have pedagogical and communicative skills, allowing you to clearly and naturally engage those around you.
You have a structured approach to work and are able to plan your tasks. You enjoy driving multiple issues in parallel, like the administrative aspects, and thrive with the proximity to the pulse of production. You have administrative skills and share our values. You speak and write both Swedish and English, and hold a valid driver's license (Category B). We will place significant weight on your personal qualities.
