Here, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting land and infrastructure projects, thereby contributing to sustainable solutions within construction and civil engineering. NCC has a strong market position with many interesting projects underway. As a Tendering Engineer, you play a key role in securing new, interesting projects. Your task is to calculate costs and provide the project with the right conditions to deliver high quality and good profitability. A large part of our projects are carried out together with our industrial customers, power companies, municipalities, and within infrastructure.

Welcome to become part of NCC and our tendering team!

The Role of Tendering Engineer

As a Tendering Engineer, you are responsible for cost calculations of our projects – from request for proposal documents to the final tender. Together with a team consisting of managers and specialists, you develop innovative solutions. After securing a project, you participate in kick-offs and follow-ups, as well as handling project changes. Great emphasis is placed on knowledge and experience sharing, as well as challenging traditional working methods.

A large part of the projects are carried out in close collaboration with the customer, where you become an important part of the team working with tendering, budget calculations, and planning during the planning phase, and sometimes also supporting the project during the production phase.

The role includes everything from quantity take-offs and detailed costing to rough estimates in budget calculations. Depending on the size and complexity of the projects, as well as your experience, you will be responsible for one or more tenders simultaneously. In some cases, you may also function as a Tendering Manager, leading the tendering team up to the submission of the bid.

You will report to our Specialist Manager, who is also the Group Manager for our nine Tendering Engineers located in various locations from Karlstad in the south to Luleå in the north. A large part of the group's communication takes place through our digital weekly meetings, where you share experiences with each other and provide support when needed.

About Division Civil North

Your Profile as a Tendering Engineer

You have a civil engineering education and a few years of experience working with land and construction projects in a role as either a Tendering, Project, or Contracting Engineer, alternatively as a Site Manager or Foreman. If you, in addition to earthworks, also have experience with other types of construction work such as steel, concrete, and industrial projects, this is an advantage.

You have worked with various calculation, planning, and cost control programs such as MAP, Power Project, MS Project, Office, etc., and have good knowledge of contract law such as AMA Construction, MER, AB04, and ABT06.

You can see the big picture without losing the details, are analytical, precise, and understand the importance of delivering to set deadlines. You have a strong drive to find good and cost-effective solutions and thrive both working independently and in a group, and are not afraid to ask for help when needed.

A large part of your work will take place in meetings with both customers and colleagues, which you are comfortable with.

You have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
