Learning and health go hand in hand. The school health services are present in all municipal schools to help achieve the goals of the curriculum and contribute to a good learning environment for children and students.
The competencies within the school health services in Örnsköldsvik Municipality include medical, psychological, social, and special pedagogical expertise. The focus is on the children's physical and mental health, as well as their participation and personal development. The work is based on close collaboration between children/students, staff, and guardians.
We are now looking for a doctor to join our team!
Job Responsibilities
As a school doctor, you will be part of the medical school health service. In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with school nurses and other staff at our schools. Your task is to provide the school with medical expertise and interventions that promote student learning. The school health service is responsible for patient safety, development, and quality assurance, and you will support medical questions and assessments related to this work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, or child and adolescent medicine. Specialization in the medical intervention of school health services (EMI) is an advantage. You should have previous experience working with children and adolescents, and it is advantageous if you have worked as a school doctor previously.
You have a good understanding of school goals and digital competence, meaning you naturally use the computer as a work tool and aid. Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position.
You are confident in your professional role and can handle cases independently, but you also recognize the importance of collaboration and have a genuine interest in working with others. You build good relationships with students, guardians, and staff, and establish important contacts both within and outside the organization. Furthermore, you are flexible, solution-oriented, analytical, and able to view issues from different perspectives in a broader context.

Several positions in our municipality are security-classified, which means a security clearance check may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
