Then you have a position to apply for as Area Manager for the Adult Area.

Your new job

In the role of Area Manager for the Adult Area, you will have a strategic and meaningful assignment where you work long-term with quality development, while simultaneously managing a day-to-day life driven by events. You have overall responsibility for the area's operations and results and ensure change work based on the citizen's needs. You promote a learning organization and health-promoting leadership based on trust, knowledge, and learning.

As Area Manager, you report to the Functional Manager of Individual and Family Care and participate in the function's management group. Within the Adult Area, operations for harmful use and addiction are organized – both authority exercises and interventions. There is also a dropout operation for adults who wish to leave a criminal lifestyle. The area includes the Relationship Violence Unit, which provides support to victims of violence, perpetrators, and individuals selling (MIKA) or buying (KAST) sex for compensation. There is also the Housing Unit, which is responsible for supervising the Social Administration's housing social contracts as well as the municipality's social emergency shelter. You are responsible for a management group consisting of seven unit managers.

Your qualifications

You have a completed and approved university degree (Bachelor's degree) of at least 180 credits, either as a social worker or within behavioral science, social-oriented education, or another approved and completed university degree that the employer considers equivalent.

You have documented experience in managerial roles in a politically governed organization and good knowledge of economic assistance and the welfare system's connection to the labor market and integration. Furthermore, you have experience leading change or implementation work and are accustomed to working with economic management in complex operations. It is an advantage if you have worked within the Adult Area.

We are looking for you who are a strategic and secure leader with experience in driving and leading complex change processes. You have the ability to see the big picture, long-term direction, and to translate strategic goals into practical implementation. You are accustomed to navigating complex contexts, making well-founded decisions, and creating structure and clarity even when conditions change. The assignment includes collaborating internally and externally and dealing with many different stakeholders, goal conflicts, and continuous operational and organizational shifts. Through trust-based and communicative leadership, you co-create improvements and long-term value for both the operations and the citizens with unit managers and employees.

A Category B driver's license is an advantage.

Individual and Family Care is part of the Social Administration and is organized into three areas: Child and Youth Care, Adult, and Support for Subsistence and Integration.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a full-time position as Area Manager with start date as agreed. Probationary employment may be applied. Testing tools will be used.
