We are now looking for a Strategic Buyer to join our team within non-metallic components and chemicals. This is a broad and exciting procurement area covering everything from machined and injection-molded plastics, packaging, and composites to chemicals and other materials used in our products and processes. The role is based at Saab Dynamics in Karlskoga, where you will become part of a competent and engaged procurement team.

Your Role

As a Strategic Buyer, you will have a central role where you build and develop a wide network, both internally within Saab and externally with our suppliers. You will play a key part in ensuring competitiveness, sustainability, and cost-efficiency in our supplier base.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing your own supplier base and continuously developing it.
• Developing and implementing supplier strategies.
• Negotiating, managing, and further developing supplier agreements.
• Supporting business unit projects and programs with commercial expertise.
• Leading cross-functional teams focused on efficiency and cost savings.
• Issuing RFQs, evaluating offers, and negotiating prices and terms.
• Ensuring compliance with Saab’s procurement strategy, policies, and procedures.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we believe you are a business-driven person who thrives on building relationships and creating collaborations, both within the organization and with external partners. You are communicative and confident in driving dialogues, while also possessing an analytical and structured approach that helps you see the big picture and make well-founded decisions.

We would appreciate it if you have experience in strategic procurement and a university degree in fields such as engineering or economics. Since the role involves many contacts both nationally and internationally, it is important that you master Swedish and English very well in both speech and writing. You are familiar with working in MS Office and have experience using business systems such as IFS or SAP, as well as MPS and Business Intelligence systems.

It is also an advantage if you have experience with contract negotiations or procurement and development of industrial articles, such as machined or injection-molded plastics, packaging, or other non-metallic components.
