Do you have an eye for content that captures attention and know what makes people stop scrolling? Do you enjoy creating content that engages, inspires, and sparks curiosity?
We are now looking for a creative and curious Content Creator who wants to develop our channels on Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, and help us reach future students and other target groups with relevant, audience-specific, and content-driven material.
Örebro University creates the future through internationally competitive research and offers professional-oriented education among the best in the country. We offer a varied and interesting assignment in an international and exciting environment!
Here, you will help shape the story of student life and studies at Örebro University, as well as assist in capturing and spreading information about research, knowledge, and results within the Centre for Food and Health.
Background
The Student Recruitment and Marketing Unit is part of the Department of Communication and Collaboration Support. The unit is responsible for student recruitment, broadened recruitment, graphic design, and web.
The unit is now seeking a Content Creator for our social media channels. The position title for the employment is Marketer. As a marketer, you will become part of a professional work group that produces all content internally. Together, we create relevant and content-driven marketing for our target groups; prospective students and current students.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will be to create organic content for Instagram and TikTok, as well as content for digital advertising. The role also involves supporting the Centre for Food and Health, where you will primarily work with LinkedIn. You will work with the entire marketing chain – from idea and planning to the production of photos and video material. You are also expected to help build our digital initiatives, such as webinars.
Experience and Qualifications
We are looking for someone who enjoys both producing content and thinking strategically about it: you understand what engages audiences on social media, are aware of trends, and can determine how they can be adapted to our target groups, our brand, and our channels.
We are looking for you who have a university degree in communication or another education we consider equivalent. You have documented experience in operational work within communication and digital marketing, as well as a strong interest in photography, video, and content production. You keep up with social media trends and have a good ability to translate these insights into relevant and audience-adapted communication that supports Örebro University's operations.
It is an advantage if you have experience with social media advertising and working with UGC (User Generated Content) or influencer marketing.
To succeed in the role, we see that you are curious about new formats and ideas, enjoy testing things out, and view environmental scanning as a natural part of your work. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence content and forward development.
You thrive working both independently and collaboratively. You are creative, driven, and analytical, and have the ability to turn ideas into relevant and engaging content. You work in a structured manner, are solution-oriented, and have an interest in developing communication based on the target group's needs and behaviors.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Information
The position is 100%, fixed-term for one year with a desired start date of August 17. Örebro University applies individual salary setting.
