At Vårdcentrum Finspång, we have gathered resources for safe, close, and high-quality healthcare in collaboration with Finspång Municipality. Vårdcentrum Finspång belongs to Primary Care Centre (PVC) and includes Rehab Finspång, a health center with Child Health Services (BVC), district nurse clinic, doctor's clinic, laboratory, and our own emergency clinic, as well as the Near Care Ward. The ward provides outpatient care during the day in the form of specialist services and 24/7 activity in the form of LAH (Local Acute Hospital) and the near care ward. Other Region Östergötland (RÖ) units also have reception activities at the care center, which also houses a pharmacy and Finspång Municipality's short-term ward. Approximately 210 employees with various professions are employed at Vårdcentrum Finspång. A characteristic feature of Vårdcentrum Finspång's operations is good collaboration between units and different professional groups. We have been located in newly built premises in central Finspång since December 2020.

Job Description

As a resident doctor at the Near Care Clinic, you work at the Near Care Ward. There are 14 permanent care beds here, where investigation, care, and aftercare are primarily provided for medical and geriatric patients, as well as aftercare for surgical and orthopedic patients. Patients connected to LAH are also treated here if they need inpatient care. Most patients are from Finspång and are admitted from other wards, from the emergency/health center, or directly from home.

We place great importance on the patient's overall situation and work interprofessionally.

As a resident doctor at the Near Care Ward, you work in a team with other professions and always have at least one specialist doctor responsible for the ward. You are responsible for admission, daily work, and discharge of patients with support from the specialist. Rounds are conducted together with the team, where the specialist also participates. You will receive supervision from specialists, and we strive to give you a good introduction to the medical profession.

About You

You have a medical degree or medical license. Previous experience in ward work is advantageous. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in the medical record system Cosmic.

You should be able to collaborate and build relationships with others in the team. Having a good dialogue and communicating clearly with and about the patient is of great importance to create the best conditions for the patient when inpatient care is no longer necessary. You are professional and have good judgment. You want to work in a team, and we place great importance on personal suitability.
