As a seasonal worker at the cemetery, you will perform all typical duties associated with the role. This includes planting, watering, mowing grass, weeding, and pruning bushes and trees. You will operate both large and small machinery requiring daily maintenance. The work is usually carried out in a team, but there are also periods where you work independently. You are responsible for completing assigned tasks while remaining attentive to emerging needs and communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues. Duties may also include assisting with burials and urn placements.

We prefer candidates with education and/or experience in the green sector. A genuine interest in gardening is essential for thriving in this role. Prior experience with machinery and manual dexterity are advantageous. A valid B-driver's license for manual transmission is required. For new hires, holding at least an AM driver's license is mandatory. You must be at least 18 years old to work at the cemeteries and must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You are attentive, engaged, and self-motivated, yet comfortable working in a team and collaborating when needed. The work is physically demanding, so good physical fitness is required. Malmö's cemeteries are multicultural environments, requiring an understanding of diversity and comfort in this setting. You should be able to interact with both colleagues and visitors with respect and understanding.
