You are likely a nurse with experience from psychiatry or primary care, looking to work with follow-up of medical treatment for ADHD and other psychiatric conditions. With us, you become a key person in the chain between assessment, medical treatment, and the patient's daily life. You follow up on the treatment's effect, potential side effects, well-being, and functioning. Your conversations contain both warmth and gravitas, and you ensure that the right information is communicated to doctors, psychologists, and patients.
You work independently but also in a team with psychologists and doctors. The pace is fast, days go by quickly, and you are expected to take initiative, act quickly, and yet maintain calmness in conversations that are sometimes both complex and sensitive.
Who we are
Elly Care and Svea KBT are two of Sweden's largest healthcare companies within psychology and medical treatment. Our psychologists, doctors, and nurses are experienced and dedicated. Behind them stands an operations team that makes everything work, from improving processes and developing new services to creating a work environment where our employees thrive and our patients receive the best possible support. We work with therapy, medical treatment, assessments, occupational health, education, and supervision. We have a strong focus on quality and continuous development.
What a typical Tuesday looks like as a nurse at Elly Care?
08:00: You log in, pour your first cup of coffee for the day, and go through the day's list of patients. You quickly look at previous medical notes, rating scales, and medication adjustments so you know which questions are most important in each follow-up.
08:30: The first digital follow-up conversation of the day. A patient with recently started ADHD medication, where you calmly and clearly go through effect, side effects, sleep, appetite, and daily functioning. You are confident in steering the conversation, ask direct questions, and dare to speak up when something needs to be followed up faster.
09:15: You document structuredly, send a short summary to the responsible doctor, and suggest the next step. You book a new follow-up directly while you are already in the system, so the patient feels there is a clear plan.
10:00: A longer conversation with a parent who is worried, tired, and has many questions after their child's assessment. You maintain a warm, clear line, answer questions, clarify misunderstandings, and help the family understand how follow-ups work with us. Here, both your service mindset and your gravitas come through.
11:00: You jump into a short check-in meeting with a psychologist and a doctor where you go through some more complex cases. You contribute your perspective from the follow-up conversations and are used to taking initiative on what needs to be followed up, supplemented, or clarified with the patient.
12:00: Lunch with colleagues. You manage to talk about difficult cases, laugh, and discuss what you did over the weekend and who made the best lunch box.
13:00: The afternoon is filled with more follow-ups. Some patients need extra frequent follow-ups, others are stable and visits can be spaced out. You prioritize quickly, adjust bookings, send messages, and ensure no patient falls through the cracks.
15:00: You call a patient who emailed about increasing side effects. You listen carefully, ask follow-up questions, assess the situation, and consult the doctor if necessary. You get back to the patient immediately so they don't have to sit in uncertainty.
16:00: You manage a final push in administration. You check that all follow-ups are documented, that treatment plans are clear, and that patients with greater needs have booked times. You also raise an improvement idea regarding how we can make our invitations even clearer.
17:00: You log off for the day with the feeling that you have both provided good care, maintained structure in a fast pace, and contributed to patients with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) feeling secure in their treatment.

When you take responsibility for something, it gets done, thoroughly, and on time. With a habit of staying ahead, you see the big picture and take initiative even outside your formal role. You say what needs to be said, embrace new challenges, and test new efficient ways of working without blinking. For you, development is a driving force. You support colleagues, share tools and knowledge, and enjoy making others' work easier. Teamwork comes naturally to you, and you spread energy through your engagement.
