Nybro Energi is not just any company. We are the heart of Nybro Municipality's infrastructure – the force that keeps the lights on, the heat flowing, and daily life running for thousands of people. About Nybro Energi

Our mission is to ensure the delivery of socially critical infrastructure and services to residents and businesses in Nybro Municipality. We operate the electricity grid, district heating network, water and wastewater operations, as well as urban networks with fiber and IoT. In addition, we offer electricity trading to customers throughout Sweden and develop support services within solar cells, battery solutions, and hydropower. We produce electricity equivalent to one-quarter of the consumption in our concession area.

Nybro Municipality is an expanding municipality in the Småland glass region with approximately 20,000 inhabitants. There are large and small companies here, primarily within the glass, wood, and paper industries – several of them world leaders in their respective fields. Nybro Municipality's vision is "With security, curiosity, and innovation, we build a new bridge to the larger Nybro of the future." Your Assignment

Nybro Energi delivers electricity, district heating, fiber, as well as water and sewage to residents and businesses in Nybro Municipality. This is a broad operation with a clear social mission, and as CEO, you are responsible for ensuring it functions, develops, and delivers results.

The company has made significant investments, and you are stepping into a phase where the focus is on steering the operation with financial control while continuing to develop the business. You lead the management group and also play an important role in the municipality's group management board, where you actively contribute to the development of the entire municipal group and cooperation between the municipality's operations and companies. You report directly to the Chairman of the Board and the Municipal Chief Executive. Location in Nybro, permanent full-time position.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and further develop Nybro Energi Group's operations with full financial responsibility, including active work to strengthen the company's financial position
• Build and maintain trust – internally among employees and externally towards the board, municipality, and customers
• Be a clear and democratic leader who creates structure, responsibility, and direction in the organization
• Prioritize, delegate, and follow up
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and authority requirements within the areas of operation, as well as bearing overall responsibility for environmental, sustainability, and safety issues

Who are you?

You understand that a municipal energy company has multiple principals simultaneously – owners, customers, and society – and you handle this balance with confidence. You are just as comfortable with numbers as you are with people. You have a sharp financial mind, are business-minded, and confident in calculating investments, estimates, and financing.

You should be able to immerse yourself in the operation's prerequisites. Experience or knowledge within electricity grids, district heating, fiber, or water and wastewater is meritorious.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant academic education such as, for example, a civil engineer or other education or experience that may be relevant for the assignment
• Experience from technically complex operations and preferably from the energy sector or other socially critical infrastructure
• Several years of experience from a leading position with personnel responsibility
• Experience of working in a politically governed organization
• Good business and financial understanding with experience of result responsibility
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English, in speech and writing
• Class B driver's license
