About the Role

As a Senior Tactical/Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies that support the business's goals regarding cost, quality, delivery security, and sustainability. You work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure competitive solutions throughout the value chain.

The assignments vary between different businesses and categories but often involve working in international supplier networks and complex production environments.

Depending on the assignment, you may work with:

• Development and implementation of category and sourcing strategies linked to the business's commercial goals.
• Driving tenders, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations with a focus on long-term value creation.
• Responsible for contract negotiations, contract follow-up, and commercial risk management.
• Evaluating and developing the supplier base based on cost, quality, capacity, sustainability, and delivery performance.
• Conducting market, cost, and supplier analyses to identify business opportunities and risks.
• Working with supplier development and supplier performance management to ensure high performance over time.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with production, quality, logistics, product development, and supply chain to ensure commercial and sustainable purchasing solutions.
• Contributing to industrialization, product changes, supplier changes, and the introduction of new products.
• Identifying and driving improvement initiatives within purchasing, supply chain, and supplier management.
• Ensuring that purchasing strategies support the business's goals regarding efficiency, sustainability, and long-term competitiveness.

As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to work in different organizations and environments, giving you valuable experience and a strong network within purchasing, sourcing, and supply chain management.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are business-driven, analytical, and accustomed to working independently with complex purchasing issues. You have experience leading supplier dialogues, conducting negotiations, and turning business strategies into concrete results.

We would like you to have:

• A university degree in purchasing, economics, logistics, engineering, supply chain, or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in tactical and/or strategic purchasing in a manufacturing or technically oriented business.
• Experience in sourcing, category management, supplier development, and commercial negotiations.
• Good understanding of supply chain processes and how purchasing affects the business's results.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working in a data-driven manner.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced use of Excel or similar analytical tools.

It is an advantage if you have experience from international supplier networks, production-proximity businesses, or complex industrial environments.
