Soros Consulting is looking for an experienced Interim IT Department Manager for a role within a larger organization undergoing a comprehensive development and change journey.

We are seeking a confident and results-oriented leader with experience managing operations in system development and integration. The role focuses clearly on leadership, business development, and delivery management.

About the Role

As the Interim IT Department Manager, you will be responsible for a unit that develops and maintains integration solutions and technical capabilities enabling information exchange between the organization's various systems and services.

You will lead a team consisting of developers, technical specialists, and other key competencies. The unit works closely with programs, projects, and the business to ensure stable and future-proof solutions.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget
• Lead, coach, and develop employees
• Ensure the unit's delivery capability and goal achievement
• Participate in the management team and contribute to the strategic development of the business
• Collaborate with program managers, project managers, architects, and other stakeholders
• Monitor operations, economy, resources, and deliveries
• Recruit employees and request consultants as needed
• Initiate and implement improvement and change initiatives

Qualifications

• Documented experience as a manager with personnel and budget responsibility
• Experience leading IT operations within system development, integration, or related areas
• Experience working in or near large programs and development initiatives
• Good understanding of system development, integration, and modern IT deliveries
• Ability to create engagement, structure, and results in complex organizations
• Experience leading specialist teams and knowledge-intensive operations
• Very good communication skills in Swedish

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from large organizations or society-critical operations
• Experience with agile development and modern delivery models
• Experience with integration platforms, APIs, and system integrations
