We are looking for a Transporter for deceased transport - Örebro

Begravningsbolaget AB is now looking for a new employee for the transport of deceased persons as part of our assignment.
About the job - Transport and care of the deceased
When a person dies, the body must be transported in a dignified and secure manner. This can involve picking up the deceased from the scene of death and transporting them to the nearest mortuary, or transporting them to the Forensic Medicine department for examination.
As a transporter with us, you become part of the entire chain of care for the deceased. The work is always performed in teams of two, where you alternate between driver and assistant. You collaborate closely with authorities, municipal housing facilities, external housing facilities, as well as our own funeral agencies.
Working hours are varied, and the workload can fluctuate between high-intensity periods and calmer shifts. The role also involves responsibility for vehicle maintenance, material handling, and working with autonomy and accountability.
Job Responsibilities
- Transport and care of the deceased
- Casket preparation and assignments for our funeral agencies
- Vehicle maintenance and handling of work and consumable materials
- Collaboration with authorities, healthcare staff, and next of kin
Qualifications
- Upper secondary education or equivalent
- Category B driver's license (required) and confidence in driving larger vehicles
- Basic computer literacy
- Clean criminal record (no convictions and not listed in the criminal register, checked in accordance with the Swedish Police Authority's requirements)
- Good physical fitness and a stable psyche, as the work can be both physically demanding and emotionally taxing
Merits
- Experience in transporting the deceased
- Experience from healthcare, elderly care, transport, or other service-oriented operations

Employment Conditions
We apply individual salary setting in accordance with the Transport industry guidelines.
