About the role

On behalf of Nurminen Logistics, we are now looking for a Shift Leader / Terminal Supervisor for the terminal in Frövi. In this role, your main responsibility is to lead and distribute the daily work at the terminal, while also working operationally together with the team when needed.

You will become a key person in the operations, ensuring that daily work flows efficiently and safely. The role involves close collaboration with terminal staff, where you plan, prioritize, and support practical work when necessary.

The operations are linked to railway logistics, which means the work sometimes requires flexibility – trains can be delayed and planning may need to be adjusted during the day.

Responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for planning and leading the daily work at the terminal, while also working operationally when needed.

Your main tasks include:

• Leading and distributing daily work for terminal staff.
• Ensuring cargo is handled efficiently and according to safety routines.
• Supporting operational work such as loading, unloading, and forklift driving when needed.
• Ensuring that occupational health and safety routines are followed.
• Collaborating closely with transport management and other functions within the business.

Your profile

We are looking for you who is a clear and responsible leader with experience from terminal, warehouse, or logistics operations. You thrive in a role where you both lead the work and are actively involved in the operations yourself.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in supervision within terminal, warehouse, or logistics.
• Forklift license and experience with counterbalance forklifts.
• Experience with cargo securing (lashing).
• Good ability to work in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience with container stuffing.
• Experience with loading railway wagons.
• Experience handling different types of cargo, including dangerous goods.

Other details

Scope: Full-time
Working hours: Daytime initially, but the operations aim to switch to two shifts, meaning you need to be prepared for shift work in the future. The operations are linked to railway logistics, which means the work sometimes requires flexibility – trains can be delayed and planning may need to be adjusted during the day.
