Job Description

As a physiotherapist with us, you will have a varied role as we work with both inpatient and outpatient care. In inpatient care, we have physiotherapists on all wards. This includes, among other things, assessment and rehabilitation of function, review of assistive devices, assessment for care planning, and contact with municipalities within the catchment area. In outpatient care, most patients come to us from specialist clinics in Köping and Västerås, primarily the Orthopedic Clinic.

About the Workplace

Currently, 11 physiotherapists work at the Rehabilitation Department. We also employ occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, nursing assistants, and nurses. We often work in teams. You are welcome to a positive operation characterized by openness and participation. We are active on all hospital wards and work outpatient with, among other things, orthopedics, neurology, and rheumatology. We offer inpatient rehabilitation for stroke and geriatrics, as well as individual and group therapy in various areas.

The clinic has an acute care unit and four wards. Here you will find a cardiac intensive care unit, a dialysis clinic, a medical clinic with day medicine, advanced home care, and the rehabilitation unit.

Västmanlands Hospital in Köping is highly skilled in stroke care and ranks at the top in national comparisons. In 2021, the stroke ward at Köping Hospital received an award from Riksstroke for good stroke care. We have also received six awards previously, two of which were as Sweden's best stroke unit. We continue to develop and maintain our knowledge and commitment to improve care.

The hospital is also located very close to the railway station, just a three-minute walk away. Commuting to Köping is easy. Train Örebro – Köping 33 min, Västerås – Köping 17 min, Eskilstuna – Köping 54 min.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. If you have experience working in the medical record system Cosmic, we see this as a merit. A B-class driver's license is desirable but not a requirement.

It is important that you can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You work independently and adapt easily to new circumstances. Furthermore, you communicate clearly and bring new ideas to work-related issues. You collaborate easily with others and relate to them in a listening and smooth manner. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Terms

A permanent position, full-time.

Or a fixed-term contract of 12 months, full-time, with the possibility of extension.

Start date according to agreement.
