Norrköping Eye Clinic operates on behalf of Region Östergötland within the Eye Care Choice (Vårdval ögon) framework and has been running a large outpatient and surgical clinic in Vilbergen Centrum since 2022. We have new, pleasant premises and a permanent staff with very high competence in all areas of ophthalmology. Today, we have 28 competent and experienced nursing assistants, eye nurses, optometrists, administrators, and ophthalmologists. We are experts in glaucoma, retinal diseases, diabetes, and not least cataract surgery. We value safety, expertise, and clarity for our patients, focus heavily on accessibility and continuity, and always prioritize a professional, genuine, and personal approach with full focus on the patients' interests and needs.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks vary depending on your competence and interest. As a nurse/eye nurse, you will work with variety and have colleagues close by.

In the operating room, you assist the doctor in various surgeries, including cataract surgeries, as an eye nurse, and are responsible for handling instruments, equipment, and sterility.

At the clinic, you prepare patients for doctor visits as a nurse/eye nurse and conduct your own independent consultations, such as fundus photography and visual field examinations.

Qualifications

Requirements: Licensed nurse within healthcare.

Being trained as an eye nurse is positive but not a requirement. We will teach you what you need to know if you are the right person!

We are looking for someone who values providing a professional and personal approach and maintains high quality in patient care even at a fast pace. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and express yourself well both verbally and in writing.
