Storumans Municipality is a large municipality in Southern Lapland. Approximately 6,000 people live here, with just over half residing in the urban areas of Storuman/Stensele and Tärnaby/Hemavan. Responsibilities

Do you have a passion for working with people, inspiring them, and increasing their love for reading? Here, a competent and cohesive team of 6 people works together, each responsible for different areas and media groups. Your responsibilities will include overseeing one of the areas regarding media purchases and the general management of the book collection and other media.

We also work closely as a team regarding program activities, school visits, adult visits and information sessions, and organizing activities for children and adults, among other things. The library is open one evening a week and every fourth Saturday, working on a rotating schedule. The municipality has a main library in Storuman with a branch in Tärnaby. The library operations fall under the Committee for Leisure, Culture, and Education (FKUN), and we have good cooperation with other parts within the committee's areas.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic education in Library and Information Science. We consider a strong interest in literature mediation and language-developing work to be a given. You have the ability to plan and structure your work independently. As a person, you are inspiring, communicative, and have good collaborative skills. Meeting every visitor positively and offering them good service comes naturally to you. We see that you are proactive and engaged in your tasks, approaching work with curiosity and an investigative mindset. You actively participate in the positive development of the library's future operations. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
