About the role
We are looking for a communicator for a government agency with a focus on climate and environmental communication. In this role, you will work together with colleagues to strengthen communication regarding sustainable development, biodiversity, and reduced climate impact. The assignment is placed within a function with broad responsibility for sustainability and environmental issues, where the work is carried out both nationally and in international contexts. The role covers areas such as climate, resource use, circular flows, and knowledge development, contributing to long-term and robust societal development.

You will become part of a communications function with employees in several locations. The team is responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of internal and external communication. The assignment involves close collaboration with colleagues and reporting to the responsible manager.

The role includes the following tasks:

  • Work with communication within several different subject areas close to the business operations
  • Participate in working groups and contribute communication expertise
  • Adapt messages to target audiences and make complex information accessible
  • Plan, implement, and follow up on communication initiatives, both internally and externally
  • Create and process editorial content such as news and articles
  • Produce and adapt content in various formats, such as text, image, and video
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders such as public actors and organizations
  • Work operationally on several parallel projects and prioritize based on needs

Assignment period and scope
The position is a full-time consultancy assignment, starting 2026-08-17 and expected to last until 2026-12-31.

Requirements for the role:

  • University degree, for example in media and communication science or equivalent, and at least three (3) years of work experience from similar work. Alternatively, upper secondary school or equivalent education and five (5) years of work experience as a communicator
  • Knowledge of digital communication and social media
  • Knowledge of brand building
  • Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of editing tools (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) and web publishing tools (e.g., Episerver, Sitevision, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of plain language

  • Very good ability to write and adapt different types of texts, from short copy to news articles and fact-based web content
  • Experience working both strategically and operationally within communication
  • Experience creating, adapting, and quality-assuring content for different digital channels
  • Interest in environmental scanning and the ability to translate insights into value-creating communication
