About the Workplace

The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Committee and the Primary School Committee. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. Here, all our employees play an important role in implementation.

Långsjöskolan is a primary school with approximately 360 students, from preschool class to grade three. About 50 dedicated employees work at the school. Here, you get good conditions to succeed in your important task.

In the autumn term of 2022, Långsjöskolan moved into a new school building next to the Gömmaren Nature Reserve. Together with Skansbergsskolan (grades F-3) and Segeltorpsskolan (grades 4-9), Långsjöskolan forms the Segeltorp principal area, creating good opportunities for collaboration and development.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for you who are trained as a student assistant and have experience working with children with diabetes.

In the role of student assistant, you follow a student with diabetes and ensure the student's well-being throughout the entire combined school day. In addition to this assignment, you also support other students during lessons, breaks, and in our after-school activities, which involves close cooperation with the school's other educators.

You contribute to safety, well-being, and good development both socially and academically. You are flexible and have good cooperation skills, are good at building relationships, and collaborating with students, guardians, the work team, the school's student health team, and school management. We work with collegial learning, which means you collaborate with colleagues to develop yourself and the school's pedagogical work.

You need to be communicative and clear, and have the ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You are a safe, calm, and stable person who can handle stress and changes with flexibility and a solution-oriented approach. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and based on the needs of the activity and students. With your good judgment, you dare to take responsibility and make decisions when the situation requires it.

Your Qualifications

• Education: Trained student assistant or childcare worker
• Experience: Documented experience working with children with diabetes
• Language: Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish in speech and writing
• Digital Competence: Ability to work in Google for Education
