Location: Stockholm/Solna, Sweden. The role involves traveling within the Nordics.

About the Role

As Manager, People Operations Nordics, you will lead the People Operations function and drive the successful execution of the people strategy – ensuring that we attract, recruit, retain, and develop the right talent in our shops and proudly create and deliver an outstanding employee experience. You will be part of the People & Sustainability Leadership Team and lead the People Operations Nordics team. You will execute the people strategy for Operations (our coffee shops), ensure alignment in HR BP practices and plans across the Nordics, lead & coach the Nordic HR BP team in supporting the markets. You will also act as an advisor on people processes to ensure compliance.

You will adapt and implement local people processes through market and business understanding, incorporating the Espresso House culture and ensuring values are reflected in daily practices and interactions. You will gain the trust of leaders, impact stakeholders, and build strong relationships with Operations leaders as well as coach leaders to be role models and ambassadors of Espresso House.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the People strategy in close collaboration with People LT
  • Redesign, modernise, and future-proof our people processes
  • Ensure that we attract, recruit, develop & retain the right people (Employee Experience)
  • Ensure operational excellence and compliant people practices - providing the right support to our shops
  • Own the business ownership of HR systems (HR master data; ATS, Employee Voice)
  • Ensure costs relating to People Operations, mandatory Health & Safety/risk assessments, or collective bargaining agreement obligations are timely budgeted

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in similar roles
  • Experience leveraging HR analytics and people data to generate insights, support workforce decisions, and drive evidence-based HR practices
  • Experience from a Nordic context (or multi-country context)
  • Experience from leading in a matrix
  • Fluent in Swedish and English

You are confident in building strong relationships with key stakeholders and have a strong business acumen and are commercially driven. You have the capacity to achieve quality results and take personal responsibility to achieve the agreed objectives within the agreed framework. You are a confident communicator, adaptive to the stakeholder, but consistent in your messaging. You seek out data and expert input to help understand and improve underlying issues. You are a value-driven leader focusing on leading and developing the team and individuals to reach their full potential.

It's a plus if you have:

  • Experience from the Food/restaurant industry and/or Franchisee organisations
  • Experience in working with AI-driven HR insights
  • Additional Nordic languages or German language
