Property Technician for Nytorp School
Friskolan Nytorp ABGävleborgs län, Bollnäs
Previous experience is desired
Nytorp School has been in operation since 1946 and is characterized by a safe, family-like atmosphere. We are a small, happy team working closely with students to ensure accessibility, participation, and goal achievement. The school offers two upper secondary programs: Natural Resources (with a focus on agriculture and nature tourism) and Construction and Infrastructure (with a focus on groundworks and infrastructure).
We believe that in addition to the general educational mission, the school plays an important societal role by training young people for jobs in sustainable agriculture and rural life, as well as meeting the increased demand for skilled machine operators in the construction industry.
The school is constantly developing. Because we are a small unit, you as an employee have great opportunities to influence and build close relationships with both students and colleagues.
Job Description
As a Property Technician at Nytorp, you are responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of our properties. You play a key role in creating a safe, pleasant, and well-functioning environment for our tenants, students, and staff.
The work is varied and consists of ongoing supervision, maintenance, as well as minor repairs and upkeep of the buildings. You handle incoming fault reports and conduct rounds to ensure that premises and outdoor areas are in good condition. The role also includes light carpentry work and, when necessary, moving and assembling furniture and other equipment.
You work closely with tenants, students, and colleagues, which means that a service-oriented attitude and good teamwork skills are important parts of the position. Heavy lifting and driving during transport tasks are part of the job.
Shuttling students at various times is included in the duties.
The duties also include fire safety work, lock and alarm systems, rental of premises, purchasing, and some invoice processing.
You should be positive, flexible, and inspired by working in a team with students and staff. Welcome to our team!
Work distribution is determined by the manager based on prevailing conditions, but you are also expected to independently structure, prioritize, and drive the work forward within your area of responsibility.
We want you to actively contribute to developing the role of Property Technician so that operations become as efficient and purposeful as possible. During the winter half-year, certain weeks of standby duty for boiler maintenance and snow removal are included.
Education Level
We are looking for you who have upper secondary education with a practical focus or have professional experience that we consider relevant.
Upper secondary education in agriculture, horticulture, or construction machinery is an advantage. If you have education in property technology, we also consider this an advantage.
Qualifications
We look for candidates with documented previous experience working as a Property Technician in preschools/schools or other property maintenance. Experience in property maintenance, repairs, and light carpentry is advantageous. Experience with simple administration is also a plus. Knowledge in fire safety, locks and alarms, purchasing, invoice processing, and occupational health and safety is also advantageous.
Some computer proficiency is a prerequisite as we use digital systems for rounds, locks, and alarms. A loader operator's license is an advantage. A B-driving license is required.
You thrive with practical and varied tasks and strive to help others and find solutions to emerging problems. You are calm and accommodating in your interactions and collaborate well with others.
Permanent position, full-time. Probation period applies. Start date by agreement.
Interviews may take place before the application deadline.
