Job Description

We are now looking for you who want to combine endocrine outpatient care with inpatient duties. Within our endocrine outpatient clinic, patients with a broad spectrum of endocrine diagnoses and osteoporosis are examined and treated. Our large diabetes clinic has a close collaboration with Specialist Maternity Care and the Wound Center. You will alternate between the clinic and inpatient care. Our inpatient ward currently has 12 beds for patients with acute endocrine conditions.

We are a strong team that combines the opportunities of a large hospital with close, personal patient contact. The Endocrinology Department has a strong academic anchoring here, with two professors, a lecturer, and clinical doctoral students.

The Endocrinology Department is part of the Internal Medicine Business Area, which has a prominent position in clinical teaching and patient-oriented research at Södersjukhuset. Our local R&D council collaborates closely with Karolinska Institutet at Södersjukhuset to ensure high-quality clinical research. We provide high-quality education for medical students and are ranked as one of Sweden's best educational sites during the medical term. The position includes mentoring medical students. You will participate in on-call lines in Internal Medicine.

You have good cooperation skills, are flexible, and show great commitment in your work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, as well as interest in teaching and mentoring.

Competency Requirements

• Licensed physician with specialist competence in Endocrinology and Diabetology, as well as in Internal Medicine.
