What we do and want

Kumla School is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) where approximately 670 students and 70 adults work together. The school is located in a quiet area where the well-being of both students and staff is high! We have a high level of ambition, and it is important to us that students develop as far as they can and that their time at Kumla School becomes a positive memory for life. Kumla School has a very well-functioning student health team with special education teachers and special pedagogues who work closely with teachers. Students in grades 6-9 have their own Chromebooks which they use in teaching, and we have mobile-phone-free school days for students in all grades. At the middle school level, we work in grade-based teams with 3-5 classes per grade. Our middle school classes consist of 23-28 students. Starting from the academic year 2026/2027, Tyresö music classes will move into Kumla School.

About the position

The position includes standard pedagogical work in the subjects as well as mentorship for middle school students.

The position is a permanent employment and covers 100%. The start date is August 10, 2026, or by agreement.

The position will be filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be used for internal reassignments.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a teacher, have a teaching license, and are qualified to teach Spanish and English.

You are well acquainted with the curriculum and work actively based on it. It is an advantage if you have worked as a teacher for a few years.

You work from a holistic view and understanding of children's learning and development, and you are a clear leader in the classroom. You have good pedagogical knowledge and experience, and you create good relationships with students and colleagues. Furthermore, you have the ability to communicate so that students understand, thereby creating conditions for learning. You have good digital competence and see digital working methods as a help for students to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.
