Transforming our complex operations into simple and effective solutions for the customer is part of the creative challenge, enabled by the Swedish Tax Agency's ambition to be at the forefront regarding working methods, technologies, and development environments.

Our common working methodology is based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

As a UX designer with us, you are part of a development team and are expected to contribute user-centered design expertise throughout the entire development chain, from needs analysis and user journeys to prototypes, testing, and support during implementation.

The role includes, among other things:

• Driving and facilitating design work together with product owners, developers, business representatives, and other designers.
• Creating wireframes, prototypes, and design sketches in close dialogue with users and stakeholders.
• Conducting and analyzing user interviews, user tests, and workshops to ensure that solutions meet actual needs.
• Ensuring that design follows accessibility requirements and established design principles.
• Actively participating in SAFe processes such as PI planning, team demos, and system demos.

About you

To do a good job and thrive with us at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be receptive, think new, and take responsibility. In the work, good judgment and an understanding of legal security and safety are important. You must also adhere to our employee policy.

In this job, you should:

• Have a structured and methodical approach to work.
• Have the ability to understand and analyze complex systems and tasks.
• Dare to question and challenge with new perspectives and ideas.
• Have good pedagogical skills and be able to argue for your design and/or user needs in various contexts.
• Have the ability to create a context of customer insights and technical prerequisites.
• Have very good communicative skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You must also have:

• Several years of current work experience as a UX designer.
• A UX design portfolio with concrete examples of projects you have contributed to developing.
• Good understanding of the implications of working in an environment that applies design systems.

It is desirable that you have current and relevant experience working with accessibility issues and WCAG. It is also desirable that you have a relevant post-secondary education in UX/interaction design. Experience in SAFe or equivalent is also desirable.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and begins with a probationary period of six months.

An employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security check with registry control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment is made. For some of our security-classified tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
