BVC Nurse at Södertull Health Centre in Gävle
Södertull Health Centre is located in the south of central Gävle in a beautiful old building, within walking distance to the city center and train station, with good public transport connections. We have approximately 45 employees and include a doctor's office staffed by permanent doctors, district nurse office, Child Health Center (BVC), home care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and a psychosocial team. We are responsible for several care and nursing homes as well as the Swedish Migration Agency's detention center in Gävle. We also have several specialist clinics. We are an educational center focused on guiding medical students and nursing students into working life. We have a good atmosphere and a pleasant work climate.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Child Health Center's (BVC) mission is regulated via the National Handbook, the Healthcare Choice Handbook, and BVC guidelines. The health center and the BVC nurse's mission is to work from a general health-promoting and disease-preventive perspective. As a BVC nurse, you will offer expectant parents and children between 0 to 5 years old and their parents a meeting place with access to consolidated and easily accessible high-quality support. The position includes working one weekend per month on the family doctor on-call duty.
As a BVC nurse with us, you will among other things work independently with:
- Standard BVC visits
- Vaccination clinic
- Parent groups
- Telephone advice, digital contact channels, and home visits.

QUALIFICATIONS

You need to be able to work independently but also collaborate with colleagues. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability and collaboration skills.
In the role of BVC nurse, you must:
- Be educated as a district nurse or licensed nurse with relevant supplementary education for BVC
- Hold a valid B driver's license.
We consider it meritorious if you have experience working in primary care and BVC.
Before an offer of employment, the employer has the right to request an extract from the criminal record register.
Employment type: Permanent position.
