We are looking for a specialist in child and adolescent medicine to join our dedicated team at Alva BUMM Medborgarplatsen. Here, you will work broadly with pediatric issues and contribute to the development of future child healthcare in a centrally located clinic with a strong team spirit.

About Us

Capio Alva BUMM is an established pediatric and adolescent medicine practice with several units in Stockholm. At the clinic at Medborgarplatsen, experienced pediatricians, pediatric nurses, nursing assistants, and child psychiatrists work closely together in their daily routines.

Collaboration is a natural part of our work. We share knowledge, support each other, and take joint responsibility for our patients. The building also houses both Child Health Services (BVC) and a psychology clinic, creating a natural and close collaboration between the professions. This provides excellent conditions for a holistic view, continuity, and secure care for children and families.

We receive children and adolescents for investigation, treatment, and follow-up of both common and more complex conditions. The practice also includes treatment of neuropsychiatric disabilities, where we work in teams together with pediatric nurses, child psychiatrists, and child psychologists.

The clinic is well-equipped with several consultation rooms and its own laboratory, allowing us to offer smooth patient flows and good accessibility. Our experienced pediatric nurses run their own clinics and are responsible for, among other things, blood sampling, spirometry, and skin prick tests. The pediatric nurses also handle follow-up of treatment for children with asthma/allergy, constipation/enuresis, or obesity.

We have an present and coaching leadership with short decision-making paths. This creates engagement, participation, and the opportunity to influence both working methods and the development of the practice.

Your Role

As a pediatrician with us, you participate in clinic work within general pediatrics, including referral assessment, investigation, and follow-up. You collaborate closely with pediatric nurses, child psychologists, and nursing assistants to create security for our patients.

You supervise ST-doctors (specialist trainees) and students and contribute actively to our quality and development work. You will have the opportunity to develop your own areas of responsibility and participate in projects within digitalization or children's rights issues.

About You

You are a specialist in child and adolescent medicine and confident in your profession. Whether you have experience from outpatient care, BUMM, or inpatient care, you are warmly welcome to apply – we see value in different backgrounds and the breadth of perspectives it brings to our team.

Previous experience in outpatient care, BUMM, or supervising ST-doctors and students is meritorious but not a requirement. We offer a structured introduction and good support in your new role, so that you can feel secure and develop with us.

An interest in areas such as neuropsychiatry, allergy, asthma, or obesity is positive, but the most important thing is your curiosity and willingness to learn.
