Construction Supervisor at Peab in Västerås

As a supervisor here, you will work close to production and assist the site manager with planning, work preparation, occupational health and safety, project follow-up, and steering towards set goals. You will plan, lead, and distribute work to our skilled workers and subcontractors.

We are looking for someone who

• Has the ability to lead and motivate teams and create structure in a dynamic environment.
• Actively collaborates with other stakeholders in the project and has good communication and collaboration skills.
• Has experience in supervision within the construction industry, has a construction technical education and/or relevant work experience that we assess as equivalent.
• Works in a structured manner, has good planning skills, and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Is involved and contributes to a pleasant working environment and takes responsibility for your own and others' safety.
• Serves as a role model in Peab's values: Down-to-earth, Developing, Personal, and Reliable.
• Has a B-driver's license.

As a person, you are driven and engaged and enjoy working both independently and in teams. You have good leadership qualities and the ability to create trust among employees, customers, and the public. You are accustomed to planning and organizing your work. Your problem-solving skills are good, and you do not get stressed by challenges and changed circumstances.

Job Description

• Leads and follows up on daily production work in close collaboration with the site manager and work team.
• Plans, coordinates, and ensures that construction production is carried out according to schedule, quality, occupational health and safety, and economy.
• Through present leadership, the supervisor contributes to efficient implementation and good cooperation at the workplace.

Management/Employee Level

Management position where personnel responsibility may be included depending on the business.

Level Description

• Leads a small group of skilled workers (<10).
• Prioritizes and distributes tasks to ensure efficient resource utilization and that work schedules and delivery goals are met.
• Sets and completes daily goals.
• Ensures that policies, standards, and routines are followed by employees, customers, and stakeholders.
• Has broad knowledge in a specific area, including operational routines and tools.
• Handles problems that may be difficult but generally not complex.

Education/Experience

• Has relevant university education/VET education or possesses equivalent competence through relevant work experience (min. 3 years of experience from production).
