Responsibilities

The role involves responsibility for the entire data lifecycle, from collection and transformation to modeling and making data available for analysis. You will work on building robust and scalable data solutions that meet the client's business needs. Among other things, you will:

• Extract data from various "source systems"
• Model and transform large datasets and ensure the data is ready for analysis
• Build integrations and pipelines using technologies like Snowflake and Databricks
• Work closely with the client to understand their business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Contribute to Brightlytix's internal "InHouse-products" if you have an idea you want to explore

We are looking for someone who

Requirements for the role:

• At least 2–3 years of experience working as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Experience working in Data Warehouses
• Very good knowledge of SQL and Python
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience with data modeling methodologies such as Kimball or Data Vault
• Experience with Git
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, or BigQuery
• Fluent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both languages are used in the work

It is an advantage if you have

• Knowledge of data stacks such as dbt, Airflow, or Matillion
• Interest in software development and application building
• Experience or interest in AI-related technologies and libraries such as Regression analysis, K-means, SciKit, TensorFlow, etc.
• Experience or interest in data infrastructure (IaC), such as Docker, Terraform, or Bicep
• Experience creating reports in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana
• Experience with CI/CD
