About the role of Calculation Engineer

As a Calculation Engineer, you work with technically advanced and challenging issues related to strength, lifespan, and performance of structures and components.

A central part of the work is building and evaluating finite element models to analyze static capacity, stiffness, stability, and fatigue. Through qualified FEM analyses, you contribute to ensuring that products and systems meet high demands for safety, quality, and function.

In the role, you will:

• Work with advanced strength and lifespan analyses of critical components
• Collaborate closely with designers and other engineering disciplines to gather data and interpret results
• Translate complex calculations into practically feasible solutions
• Use tools such as Abaqus, HyperWorks, and Ansys, and contribute to automation with Python/MATLAB
• Present results through technical reports and dialogue with internal and external stakeholders

You will become part of a competent team of calculation engineers where experience sharing, problem-solving, and technical development are in focus. The role gives you the opportunity to work with some of the most demanding technical challenges within the energy and industrial sectors and to influence future sustainable solutions.

About you

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in technology and problem-solving. You are structured, responsible, and thrive in teams where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central.

Requirements for the position:

• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Physics, or equivalent with a focus on strength/structural analysis
• Good understanding of structural analyses and calculation principles
• Experience with FEM methodology and simulation
• Fluent English in speech and writing

Relevant work experience is meritorious.
