The elderly care services in Umeå Municipality aim to be a resource that empowers and strengthens people's ability to live independent lives through proximity and interaction.

The care and support residence Sjöjungfrun is located in Tomtebo at the southern tip of Nydalasjön, approximately 6 km from Umeå city center. The residence has 47 apartments distributed over three floors. Each floor has two units with 8 apartments per unit. We offer excellent opportunities for outdoor activities. In addition to the proximity to Nydalasjön, we have balconies, outdoor areas, and a shared courtyard that encourages spending time outdoors.

Your responsibilities

With a professional approach and good customer service, you assist our residents. The resident's right to influence is in focus, and you contribute to ensuring that interventions are carried out with high quality, according to the assistance decision and implementation plan. You will assist with care, personal hygiene, meals, and other services.

The duties also include documentation of measures and health status, as well as medical tasks based on delegation from the responsible nurse.

The working hours are scheduled for night shifts.

About you

We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse with experience in night work within healthcare, preferably in elderly care.

You are responsible and want to contribute to a high-quality operation by being professional and accommodating towards residents, colleagues, other professions, and to some extent also relatives. You have an empathetic nature, are humble with a good willingness to collaborate, and are a good team player. You are constructive and proactive and can work independently. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and read care documentation, and receive tube/medical delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

Smoking and fur animals may occur at the workplace, so you should not be allergic. Heavy lifting occurs, and assistive devices must be used.
