Job Responsibilities

The mission of the Child Health Services (BVC) is regulated via the National Guidelines, the Health Care Choice Handbook, and BVC specific guidelines. The mission of the Health Centre and the BVC Nurse is to work from a general health-promoting and disease-preventive perspective. As a BVC Nurse, you will offer expectant parents and children between 0 to 5 years of age, along with their parents, a meeting place with access to consolidated and easily accessible support of good quality. The position includes working one weekend per month on the family doctor on-call service.

As a BVC Nurse with us, you will among other things work independently with:

• Standard BVC visits
• Vaccination clinic
• Parent groups
• Telephone advice, digital contact channels, and home visits

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are flexible and have a solution-focused approach. You see opportunities in changes and can adjust your priorities when needed. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy helping others. You also have the ability to see the big picture and solve problems independently. You need to be able to work independently as well as collaborate with colleagues. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability and collaboration skills.

In the role of BVC Nurse, you must:

• Be trained as a District Nurse or be a Registered Nurse with relevant advanced training for BVC
• Hold a valid B driving license

We consider it meritorious if you have experience working in primary care and BVC.
