Tyresö Gymnasium is a school that places knowledge, security, and hope for the future at the center. Our vision is to give every student the tools they need to reach their full potential, regardless of their starting point. As a school, we are in an expansive and exciting period where much is happening and developing. In the autumn of 2025, the social science and economics programs were restarted with good application numbers. In addition, the school offers vocational programs, introductory programs, special education activities, and an adapted upper secondary school. The breadth of programs leads to a wonderful and dynamic atmosphere! Tyresö Gymnasium has many dedicated teachers and is perceived as calm and safe by both staff and students.

About the position

As Tyresö Gymnasium grows, we are now looking for a certified upper secondary school teacher in English and Social Studies. The position includes teaching upper secondary English in vocational programs and teaching Social Studies at the primary school level in the introductory program. As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating the teaching in your subjects. You create an inspiring learning environment that sparks curiosity and challenges students to develop. The role also includes mentorship, where you coach a group of students in their academic and social development. You are part of a work team where you help drive the school's pedagogical development forward.

This is a permanent position at 100% with a desired start date of August 10, 2026. The position is a holiday position (vacation relief).

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be reserved for internal reassignments.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in English and Social Studies and who are passionate about working with young people and your subject areas. Experience teaching at the upper secondary level is advantageous. As a person, you are used to working independently but also have good collaboration skills. You are good at meeting students' different needs and have the ability to build good relationships, both with students and colleagues. In the classroom, you have good leadership and structured teaching. You use modern pedagogical tools as a natural part of your work.
