Do you want to use your skills as an occupational therapist to help people on their path back to working life? At the Employment Unit in Östersund Municipality, we work every day to help more people find their place in working life and in society. Your new job

Creating contacts and collaborating with various actors is a central part of the role. You will have many contacts, both internally and externally, so it is important that you enjoy building relationships. Examples of collaboration partners include the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), and social services.

Your workday may vary. One day you might be out in the field for follow-ups or employer contacts, and the next day you could be in the office with colleagues and documentation. There is also an opportunity for remote work to some extent.

Common tasks

As an occupational therapist, you are an important part of our team. You contribute with your expertise by:

• Conducting assessments of work capacity and suggesting interventions.
• Working with adjustments in the work environment, internships, and other activities.
• Providing consultations to both individuals and colleagues.
• Working in group activities and contributing to the development of our interventions.
• Collaborating with other actors such as the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and healthcare.

Your qualifications

Requirements

• We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist.

Meritorious

• Experience working with individuals with psychiatric or neuropsychiatric diagnoses, or with substance abuse issues.
• Previous experience or knowledge related to the principles of the research in the Employment Indicator Project (BIP).

You have a coaching and motivating approach and believe in every individual's ability to develop. You have experience working closely with people and have a good understanding of the challenges that may exist for those outside the labor market.

You are self-reliant and confident in making your own decisions, and a team player who contributes to a positive work environment while following rules and routines for your employment. You communicate clearly, are professional in your interactions, and have a goal-oriented work style.
