Job Description

We are looking for nurses for the LAH unit in Motala. The work involves meeting seriously ill people and their relatives in a home environment. Our patients have tumors and other chronic conditions and need palliative care and medical interventions to a large extent. The care is based on the cornerstones of palliative care: symptom relief, teamwork, support for relatives, as well as communication and relationships. Specific knowledge and competence are required here. In your role, you will work both in home healthcare and on the unit's palliative care ward, Ward 11.

Work Group

We work from a person-centered perspective and place great emphasis on teamwork where the competence of all professions is utilized, and where our combined competence and experience is the core of care design. The care is focused on relieving symptoms and providing psychological, existential, and social support. Within the LAH unit, medical-technical equipment is used, among other things, to administer medications in various ways.

About You

You are a registered nurse, preferably with a couple of years of experience. For your position, you need a category B driver's license. You will receive an introduction tailored to your needs so that you feel secure and settle well into the operations. Our operations are in constant development, and improvement work is an important part of daily work. We offer time for your own further education within the framework of the operations.

Since you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We are looking for you who are secure in your professional role and have a warm, empathetic approach. You thrive in close encounters with patients and relatives and have the ability to create trusting relationships. You are flexible and solution-oriented, and find it easy to collaborate in teams. We see that you contribute calmness, professionalism, and engagement even in challenging situations. You also have a genuine interest in palliative care and are driven by making a difference for people in the final stages of life.

Application and Employment

The position involves rotational duty. Weekend duty covers 2/5 weekends. At Primary Care Clinic West, we have the privilege of working according to the 90/10 working time model, which means you work 90 percent but receive 100 percent salary. The largest part of the 90 percent is scheduled, while a smaller part is flexible and used to cover illness and leave.

We work with continuous selection, so please submit your application as soon as possible.

Before employment in a patient-oriented role within Region Östergötland, you will be asked to fill out a health declaration.

We warmly welcome your application! If you need help registering in the system, contact Customer Service Support and Service, 010-103 60 00, during office hours.

To staffing, mediation, and recruitment agencies and to you who are a seller:

We kindly but firmly decline direct contact with staffing, mediation, and recruitment agencies as well as other external actors and sellers of additional job advertisements. Region Östergötland has procured agreements.
