About the Department

Department 362 has 15 beds and is an acute general psychiatric ward. Our main task is to care for patients who have contact with the Bipolar Clinic in Gothenburg and the Affective Care Clinic 1+2. Admission to us occurs via direct admission from the Bipolar Clinic/Affective Care Clinic 1+2 or the Psychiatric Emergency Clinic. We work in teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and social workers. We have a contact person system with a contact group consisting of a nurse and a nursing assistant. We use a patient-centered approach and strive to provide respectful, good care with a friendly attitude and involvement from patients and relatives.

Job Responsibilities

Nursing duties involving qualified care for patients with bipolar diagnoses, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. As a nurse, you are part of the team and serve as the responsible nurse together with nursing assistants and potentially another nurse.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Specialist training in psychiatry and/or experience in psychiatry is meritorious.

You have good communication skills, teamwork abilities, initiative, leadership skills, and a genuine interest in meeting people.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts during the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. In addition, it includes work on another department to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruiting nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish license/specialist certificate.
