Do you want to help develop the future of child and adolescent psychiatry in a key role with both clinical and strategic responsibilities? BUP Neuropsychiatry Northwest in Solna (Västra Skogen) is now looking for an engaged colleague for a permanent position. The work is during daytime hours.

The unit's mission is to conduct assessments and investigations of neuropsychiatric disabilities and to offer pharmacological treatment for ADHD. We work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of psychologists, doctors, nurses, medical secretaries, and unit managers, with the goal of providing accessible and high-quality care as well as a good and developing work environment. BUP Stockholm, Section Neuropsychiatry, includes 'En väg in' and six neuropsychiatric clinics in the Stockholm area so far.

Job Description

As a specialist psychologist with a special assignment, you have a key role in the operations and are part of the local management group together with the unit manager, deputy unit manager, and the medically responsible doctor. The assignment combines clinical work with responsibility for development, quality, and patient safety. You contribute to ensuring care processes, routines, and diagnostics according to current guidelines, and you support and mentor colleagues in their daily work with a focus on complex differential diagnostic assessments. Clinically, you work primarily with neuropsychiatric investigations of children and young people. The role also entails overall responsibility for developing and monitoring the unit's working methods in close collaboration with the management group. Possibility of remote work with remote contacts if the operations allow, corresponding to approximately two days a week.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with specialist training in clinical child and adolescent psychology or neuropsychology. You have previous experience working with children and young people, which is a requirement. It is particularly meritorious if you have ADOS training and experience with neuropsychiatric investigations of children aged 0–5 years.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for a colleague who enjoys working independently but also sees the strength in collaborative work regarding children and families. You have the ability to drive your investigations forward in a methodical and well-thought-out manner, while also being able to adapt to the needs of patients and relatives in the meeting. You contribute to a good work climate, share your competence, and have good collaboration skills. Interest in developing working methods and digitalization is seen as meritorious. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Employment Type

The position is a full-time permanent employment. The specialist assignment covers approximately 50 percent of the work over time. You are employed in your core profession with a time-limited assignment as a specialist psychologist for three years, with the possibility of extension after agreement between the parties.

Start date by agreement.

In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Council healthcare area:

- register control is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register control at employment.

- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.

- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
