Uppsala Maskin & Verktyg AB is located in Uppsala, Gävle, and Västerås, offering machines, tools, workwear, safety equipment, and other supplies to companies within construction, industry, service, and public operations.

About the role

As a store salesperson here, you work closely with the customer and help find the right products and solutions based on the customer's needs. Our customers should feel welcome, seen, and receive professional advice when visiting the store.

You don't need to know everything from the start – but you need to be curious, driven, and enjoy learning new things. An important part of the role is being able to find information independently and having the desire to understand our products and customers' businesses.

The work is varied and includes both sales and practical tasks in the store such as order processing, handling quotes, restocking, and much more.

Who are you?

We believe you are a person who takes responsibility, sees what needs to be done, and enjoys providing good service. You find it easy to collaborate and contribute to a positive atmosphere both towards customers and colleagues. To thrive here, you need to be self-motivated, solution-oriented, and comfortable working at a fast pace. You like solving problems and do not hesitate to seek information or ask for help to find the right answer for the customer.

Previous experience in sales or service is important, but we also place great emphasis on personality and attitude.

Other important information

The position is full-time and begins with a six-month probationary period at our store on Bolandsgatan in Uppsala.

Requirements

• A few years of work experience from a service-oriented job where problem-solving was included
• Experience in sales

About the employer - Maskin & Verktyg

Our business idea is to provide our customers with machines, tools, workwear, safety equipment, and other supplies with extensive product knowledge. Our areas of operation are Uppland, Gästrikland, and Västmanland. The customers consist mainly of large and small companies within construction, industry, service, and public administration. We are 54 employees and have a turnover of approx. 200 million SEK.
