Workplace Description

S:t Eriks Gymnasium is a large upper secondary school located on Kungsholmen in central Stockholm. Here, there is an exciting mix of university-preparatory programs and vocational programs where creativity and knowledge are at the center.

The school offers a diversity of education, activities, nationalities, and languages, making it a fun and stimulating workplace for both students and staff.

We prepare students for careers in automation, electrical engineering, fine woodworking, floristry, hairdressing, design, and tailoring.

We prepare for university through the Arts Programme (visual arts and design, animation, film and directing, event technology, music, musicals, and theatre), the Natural Science Programme, and the Social Science Programme (media, information, and communication, as well as social sciences). We also offer adult education and the National School for Students with Physical Disabilities (RGRH). The school premises also house Polhem's adapted upper secondary school.

Job Description

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in Swedish.

You will teach the subject of Swedish at Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. You will also serve as a mentor and be part of a subject team and a work team.

Qualifications

• You have a teaching license in Swedish.
• You have previously worked in upper secondary education and are familiar with the GY25 curriculum.
• You have the education and experience that the employer deems necessary for the position.
• You have experience in mentoring.

As a teacher in Stockholm City, you are expected to be a skilled pedagogue who is curious about student learning, tries new paths and collaborations. You understand the importance of proper feedback so that students understand their own learning. You are expected to plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks effectively. You maintain professional relationships with students and colleagues. You communicate well with students and their guardians.
