We are currently looking for a mechanic within production for our client in Trollhättan.

As a mechanic, you will work with maintenance, service, and troubleshooting on a production unit. You will become an important part of the production team and contribute to ensuring that operations and production function efficiently, safely, and with high quality. About the role

The role of mechanic involves working with maintenance, service, and repair of machines and various types of production equipment. You are responsible for ensuring operational reliability and that the production flow runs efficiently through preventive maintenance and quick handling of operational disruptions. You need to be flexible and open to performing other tasks within production if the business requires it.

Working hours are variable, and shift work as well as evening and/or weekend work may occur.

Your main responsibilities

The role includes among other things:

• Performing service, maintenance, and repairs on machines and production equipment.
• Monitoring processes and troubleshooting operational disruptions.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance according to established plans.
• Documenting completed work and reporting deviations in the maintenance system.
• Analyzing and assessing machine performance and function.
• Ensuring that machines, tools, and equipment are kept in safe and good condition.
• Checking incoming materials, such as spare parts and consumables.
• Participating in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and contributing to optimization.
• Planning the purchase of spare parts and responsible for component inventory management.
• Supporting and training operators in the correct use and care of machines.
• Contributing to improvement work to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
• Contributing to good order, cleanliness, and compliance with safety routines in production.

Who are you?

• Have experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or production environment.
• Have good technical understanding and are accustomed to diagnosing and solving problems.
• Are responsible, thorough, and have a solution-focused approach to work.
• Work equally well independently as well as in a team.
• Have a strong safety mindset and value a secure working environment.
• Have good communication skills in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you also have experience with:

• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Welding or other metalworking.
• Use of maintenance or business systems.
• Holding a forklift license or crane license.
