RESPONSIBILITIES

About the job:

As a care assistant at our special housing, you work closely with our residents and provide support in daily life based on individual needs and implementation plans. The tasks include among other things:

• Personal care and hygiene
• Support with meals and social activities
• Activation and meaning-making daily life
• Documentation and work based on Individual Needs in Center (IBIC)

We use digital systems as support in daily work.

The operations run around the clock, which means work during days, evenings, and weekends.

Collaboration and responsibility:

• A person-centered approach in meeting people with dementia and good dialogue with relatives.
• Close collaboration with colleagues and other professions
• Performing delegated health and medical tasks from the nurse

QUALIFICATIONS

Care Assistant

Professional certificate for completed and approved care assistant education for upper secondary program or other approved education. Alternatively, healthcare assistant.

Swedish language and good computer skills

Documentation is an important part of our work, so you need to master the Swedish language well in speech and writing.

Driver's License Category B

Documented experience

It is meritorious if you have work experience within care and support, low-affective approach and/or clarifying pedagogy, as well as experience with documentation in the Life Care system.

Employment type:

Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent. Working hours: Schedule. The position comprises an average of 37 hours per week. The working hours are scheduled and can be placed during the day, evening, and weekend according to the needs of the operations.

Probationary employment may be applied. Karlskrona Municipality works with full-time as the norm and offers 100% employment rate but with the possibility of part-time.
