Description

At Nordhem Clinic, we meet people where they are. We are a centrally located clinic with a strong commitment to individuals with alcohol dependence – both with and without psychiatric comorbidity. Our patients have varying needs and life situations, making the work with us both meaningful and developmental.

Every weekday morning, we open our doors to patients seeking help through our drop-in clinic. The contact always begins with a doctor's visit, and together with the patient, an individual care plan is developed based on needs, goals, and prerequisites.

Nordhem Clinic has approximately 700 ongoing patients, and the operations include an outpatient clinic, inpatient ward, driver's license clinic, LTX clinic, and a sampling center. Here, we work in teams with a common focus – to offer secure, accessible, and high-quality care.

Job Description

As a nurse at our outpatient clinic, you are offered a varied and stimulating job where no day is like the other. The work is characterized by close patient contact, collaboration, and a strong commitment to the target group.

In daily work, we rotate between different workstations. You receive registered patients in the nursing room, are responsible for registering new patients, and assesses patients seeking admission. The work also includes phone duty and service at our sampling center.

Here, you work in an experienced and competent team where we support each other and collaborate closely around the patients. You also become a designated care contact for some patients, which provides the opportunity to follow their development over time and create secure, long-term care relationships.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and thrive in a operation with varied tasks, high pace, and close patient contact. You have a professional and warm approach and the ability to create security and good relationships with patients in different life situations.
• You are confident in your professional role, can work independently, and at the same time find it easy to collaborate with colleagues in a team. The work requires that you can make assessments, prioritize, and make decisions in daily patient work.
• We value that you are engaged, flexible, and contribute to a good work climate. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
• Experience of addiction care, psychiatry, or outpatient care is meritorious, as is experience of working with psychiatric comorbidity.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Base Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Base Year is mandatory and lasts during the first year of your employment with us. The Clinical Base Year includes lectures, nursing guidance, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. In addition, it includes service on at least two different wards to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruiting nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish license/specialist certificate.
