Nurse for Anticoagulant Clinic (AK), Skellefteå Hospital

The Health and Medical Care Administration brings together primary care, dental care, and hospital care under a common administration, organized into county and local healthcare areas. The Local Healthcare Area of Skellefteå includes the Emergency Department, the Medical and Geriatric Clinic, the Rehabilitation Centre, the Psychiatric Clinic, as well as Primary Care in Skellefteå and Norsjö municipalities. Together, these units strive to provide good, close-to-home healthcare.

At the Medical and Geriatric Clinic, you become part of a unit where care beds are distributed based on medical and geriatric specializations. Most admissions are acute and occur via the Emergency Department. Outpatient activities consist of the medicine, geriatrics, and dialysis clinics. The medicine clinic also includes day-care activities and a physiological laboratory. The clinic also includes a Research Unit, which is unique for a county district hospital.

We are now looking for a nurse for the Anticoagulant Clinic (AK), which is part of the clinic's outpatient activities at Skellefteå Hospital. Currently, two nurses work full-time and three work part-time within the AK clinic.

We are looking for a nurse for our AK clinic who wants to be a central part of a competent team, where quality, development, and patient-safe care are in focus. Here you will have a varied daily routine with significant personal responsibility, close collaboration with doctors, and good opportunities to develop in your professional role.

Responsibilities include dosing anticoagulants and handling abnormal values, follow-up of sample collection and treatment, and educating patients in self-care. Patient contact is made via phone and mail. Collaboration with other healthcare providers and doctors is part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience from clinic work is an advantage.

To handle the work, you must be flexible and have good collaboration skills. The job also involves teaching patients to use new technology, so an interest in technology is desirable. We would like you to have good experience working in different computer systems and be quick to adapt to new systems and digital tools.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
