We are now looking for energetic and positive individuals to join Home Care – Team Skeppargatan on Östermalm, to assist elderly people in their homes while our regular staff is on vacation. We offer stimulating work and several benefits.

Working in home care involves a wide variety of tasks. You help elderly people at home with cooking, mobility, personal hygiene, and household chores such as making beds, washing dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, and cleaning.

About the role

Your task is to help elderly people living in their own homes, based on the assistance approved by the municipal social services officer. You see every individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. The duties also include social documentation. Thanks to you, our customers can continue to live at home and maintain their lifestyle and habits. At the same time, you develop valuable knowledge about care, service, and aging.

About Vardaga Home Care Team Skeppargatan

Approximately 60 people work with us at Team Skeppargatan. We staff our home care service seven days a week. During daytime, approximately 20 people work here, and in the evening, 7 staff members are on duty.

We are located a few minutes' walk from the metro stations Östermalmstorg or Karlaplan.

Your experience and knowledge

We are looking for you who:

• Have a good ability to structure and organize your work.
• Are a creative person who dares to think independently and take personal responsibility.
• Are curious about other people and are social.
• Can work at least 8 weeks during the summer according to schedule.
• Have skills in cooking, laundry, and cleaning.
• Learn new things easily.

We would appreciate it if you had some experience working in elderly care or perhaps are currently studying to become a nursing assistant (USK), care assistant, or registered nurse (SSK). Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important factor. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and opportunities to grow.

Other information

Salary: We apply individual salary setting – hourly wage, overtime compensation, and holiday pay.

Start date: Second week of June (or earlier).
