ICU Nurse Sought for Combined Intensive Care and Post-Operative Unit

Are you a specialist nurse in intensive care and thrive in a broad clinical role where independence and variety are key?

We are now seeking experienced ICU nurses for a longer-term assignment within intensive care and post-operative care during autumn 2026.

About the Assignment

You will work in a unit that combines intensive care, intermediate care, and post-operative care. The assignment involves varied work with several different patient groups and acute care interventions.

Patient flows may include, among others:

• Intensive care patients
• Post-operative patients
• Stroke patients
• Seizures and intoxications
• Respiratory failure
• Cardiac care and monitoring

The unit has a broad emergency mandate, where participation in trauma alerts and cardiac arrest responses is a natural part of the job.

Work Environment

This assignment is suitable for you who thrive in smaller hospitals where flexibility, broad competence, and independent work are crucial. You will work closely with other professions and need to feel confident in both acute situations and advanced nursing care.

Documentation is performed in the PDMS system MetaVision.

Period & Scope

• Period: Week 36–48
• Scope: Approximately 428 hours
• Working hours according to schedule; days/evenings/nights and weekends may occur

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed nurse with specialist education in intensive care
• Have current experience from ICU operations
• Are confident in independent work and acute situations
• Have experience in post-operative care and cardiac monitoring
• Have experience with trauma and cardiac arrest alerts
• Thrive in a broad and varied clinical environment

Meritorious:

• Experience from smaller hospitals
• Experience with HIA/IMA (High Dependency Care)
• Experience with MetaVision

Requirements for Presentation

The following documents need to be available for the presentation:

• Updated CV
• Specialist Nurse degree in Intensive Care
• Adult CPR certification
• Two current references from the latest assignment or employment
